4. Test Execution Stage

Test Automation - Execution

The test execution stage involves the actual running of a Test Case Executable and generates the required Test Data and stores it in a data repository with test points, pass/fail status, product identification, test codes and any additional test data that is required.

The test execution stage may require additional functionality such as:

  • Operator training and documentation
  • Operator prompts for information and/or sequence setup validations
  • Operator timings
  • Enterprise system integration for Work-in-Progress (WIP) status, ERP updates, etc...  and more...

All of these additional requirements require the use of a Software Development Team.
